Irish Haiku Society – International Haiku Competition
Submission Conditions:
- Entrants may submit an unlimited number of haiku/senryu in any language.
- A haiku/senryu written in Irish (Gaelic), or in a foreign language, should be submitted accompanied by an English translation of the haiku in the same file.
- Haiku/senryu of 17 syllables or fewer are eligible for the competition.
- Entrants must not have been previously published, self-published, published on an edited or unedited website.
- The name of the entrant must not appear under the poems themselves or anywhere in the file attached to the e-mail, including the title of the file.
- The prize-winners will be announced in January 2025 and subsequently awarded. A list of the prize-winners will be posted on the IHS website as soon as they are announced.
Prizes: The IHS International Haiku Competition offers prizes of Euro 200, Euro 60, and Euro 40 for unpublished haiku/senryu in English. Entrants may win more than one prize.
Entry Fee: Each haiku must be accompanied by a fee of Euro 3, or £2.50 sterling, or USA $3. Or with each seven haiku: Euro 20, or £17 sterling, or $20. Method of payment: PayPal only; no other means of payment will be accepted.
