The Fiction Factory is open for poetry submissions.

Submission Guidelines

  • Poets may enter poetry on any theme.
  • Poems must be 40 lines or fewer.
  • Accepting international entries, but the work must be written in English.
  • Submitted poems must be previously unpublished. Multiple entries allowed.

Judge: Helen Cox, Yorkshire-born novelist and poet with an MA in Literature and Creative Writing from the University of York St John.

Entry fee: £5 for 1, £9 for 2, £12 for 3.

Prizes:

  • Five shortlisted poets will receive a supportive critique of their poems.
  • One winner from that shortlist will receive a £100 cash prize, as well as feedback on five poems they have written.
  • An hour-long mentorship Zoom call with the judge to talk about their poetry.
