Storylines Tom Fitzgibbon Award is open for submissions.

Submission Guidelines

  •  Accepting a manuscript (recommended word length of between 25,000 and 45,000 words) which must not be a picture book, and is a work of
    fiction appropriate for children aged 8-12 years.
  • Open to all New Zealand authors who meet the residency criteria.

Entry fee: $40 (non-member) / $20 (member)

Prize: The award carries assurance of publication by sponsoring publisher Scholastic New Zealand and prize money of $1,500.

Deadline: 31 October, 2025
